Most Truth or Dare advice hands you a list. Lists are the easy part. The skill that decides whether an evening works is knowing which prompts to leave out of the one you already have — and that changes completely depending on who is in the room.
The default birthday has not changed in eighty years: gather, sing, cake, candles, done. It is fine, and it is completely interchangeable — swap the name and it is somebody else's. What makes one feel specific is nearly always something the group made beforehand.
Every party-game list has the same two problems: half the games need props nobody has, and the other half take longer to explain than to play. These twenty need a phone at most, and each entry says who it works for and where it falls apart.
